BioKapital present at Norway’s largest meeting of animal scientists
From 14-15 February ”Husdyrforsøksmøtet 2011” was held in Lillestrøm, Norway. Husdyrforsøksmøtet is hosted by the Norwegian University of Life Sciences, the Norwegian Veterinary Institute and the Norwegian School of Veterinary Science.
This was the 28th time the biannual conference was held. This meeting is the biggest event and greatest networking opportunity for Norwegian livestock and animal scientists, veterinarians and industry involved with agriculture and aquaculture.
This year more than 370 participants attended two days of sessions ranging in topics from animal breeding and reproduction to disease, welfare and housing.
From BioKapital, Randi T. Garmo presented results from a study on the effects of teat shape on the incidence of mastitis in cattle, and Elisabeth Kommisrud presented the SpermVital technology for semen processing.
BioKapital scientists also contributed two posters to the poster session (in Norwegian):
